Spinner Mepps Giant Marabou made in France
The Giant Marabou is designed for fishing for large catfish. Its originality lies in the fact that thanks to its real size, optical dimensions, as well as the intense signals of the slowly rotating paddle, it is not attacked by undersized catfish. The construction of this spinner is based on a wide Colorado palette, designed so that it can be led very slowly. It emits waves strong enough for the catfish to locate it before it sees it. The Giant Marabou is armed with two treble hooks (No. 5/0 and 3/0, which are additionally decorated with a marabou feather tassel, effectively waving when guided at a variable pace, climbing, descending and jerks to the sides.
Why Has Mepps Remained Legendary Since 1938?
The first Mepps spinner was created in 1938 and has since become one of the world's benchmark inline spinners. Its lasting popularity is the result of original engineering, premium materials, and uncompromising manufacturing quality.
Mepps blades are manufactured from a proprietary Special Copper Alloy, valued for its unique acoustic and vibration characteristics. Unlike ordinary nickel-plated steel or standard industrial alloys, this material is produced specifically for Mepps and is not a commonly available commercial alloy.
Quality extends throughout the entire manufacturing process. Every spinner is equipped with premium VMC treble hooks made in France, while the production machinery itself was designed and built by French engineers exclusively for Mepps spinner manufacturing. This ensures exceptional precision and consistent quality in every lure.
More than eighty years of innovation, craftsmanship, premium materials, and meticulous quality control have made Mepps one of the most trusted and successful spinner brands among trout and predator anglers worldwide.
