Smith Creek’s PikeTooth™ folding knife is built tough as an everyday carry knife. The high quality Japanese steel blade comes with a razor sharp edge that is sharp enough to shave with (use with caution)Rinse your PikeTooth™ knife with fresh water after use and wipe dry with the provided cloth. If the blade or handle is extremely dirty, you may use mild soap and a soft toothbrush to clean the textured handle.
Occasionally oil the knife hinge region with knife oil (not included). If you do not have knife oil, you may also use food-grade mineral oil. Wipe off any excess oil residue with a clean cloth.
Sharpen your blade as needed using the provided sharpening stone. Because the provided stone is made from a slurry of aluminum oxide powder, over time the stone may lose its flatness. Please note that the provided stone is for basic maintenance of the blade, and is not a substitute for professional re-sharpening of the edge.
Do not use the blade to pry objects open or chip at hard surfaces.
AUS-8 steel is durable but can be damaged by improper use. Do not use the knife tip as a screwdriver.
The neoprene sheath can be hand cleaned in mild, soapy water. Rinse under running water until there is no more soap residue. Compress between layers of a towel to remove most of the moisture and then leave on a counter or tabletop to air dry.
